All pieces are made using sterling silver or copper for its therapeutic qualities. A range of gauges are used in my work so I can be flexible in creating textures and shapes. Semi-precious stones are used in conjunction with the wire and creating a harmony between the metal and gemstone is an integral part of the process. Jewellery is like creating a sculpture and most of my pieces are one-of-a-kind giving the wearer a sense of exclusivity.
The fascination of making something to wear as an expression of individuality is always growing. Coupling my love of nature with creating jewellery to be worn is where my process begins. The selection of gemstones and precious metals is also an integral part of my jewellery having an elegant and timeless appeal.
My work reflects my awareness of the non-permanence of life. I work spontaneously, and use sketchbooks to explore my thoughts and ideas. In comparison my abstract paintings develop slowly; building up the surfaces slowly, then scraping into them exposing what is underneath. This method reflects my thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that cannot be expressed through mere representation. Nature is always an inspiration and concurrently so is our destruction of it.
I take commissions on paintings, jewellery and greeting cards. If you'd like to discuss a project please send me a message!

"Precious Gold" has been selected for The Rosetta Guild's weekly Abstract selection! I am really chuffed and am continuing with the Gemstone series so keep your eye out for forthcoming new pieces.
I'd like the thank everyone for the warm response and continual feedback. I've only been here properly for a week and am totally hooked. It is nice to see so much talent and communicate with people working in different media.
Recently I've been finding it difficult to settle down and work just one one thing and have finally narrowed it down to work for my 'Imprint' collaborative exhibition at The City Gallery (in Leicester) in March 2007 and the Gemstone Series. Wish me luck in focusing on them and not getting distracted
